This picture caught my attention due to the golds and yellows and said to me "a new day is coming." Many changes have occurred in the past few months. Today, I as I wrote in my gratitude/memories journal, I remembered that eleven years ago today I was two weeks away from giving birth to Emma, watching the television and the horror it displayed. When I think about my mom not being here I also think of the thousands of families who lost a loved one that day. And I am grateful for the closure I had with her-in the end. Everyday, a new day is coming and I am happy to be here.

Base of Eleven

I found this while doing what I seemingly do best- surf- and not the water type- as you all well know. Perusing the internet either on FB or Pinterest I find tidbits that catch my interest. The Nike swipe achieved that for me today. I love each bullet statement extending from the letters Self Respect. So many times I forget one or another. So the first goal to set-- Try to accomplish each statement on a constant basis until the base is constant.

Gratitude and Memories

I started a gratitude journal today. During the past few months I seemed to be angry at the most non-essential elements in my life. Although I understand where the anger stems from I'm not sure how to handle it, less control it. I decided to concentrate on the blessings in my life by writing them down- as a reminder. After I wrote down my first entry I continued to write down a memory from my childhood. So my journal became a two-fold aid in the anger process. So far so good even though my book binder doesn't look this cute.

P.S. Happy Birthday to my lil' bro who turns 42 today!
