Caroline Louise Holm Ward

Lately I've let everything slide.  I searched for specific parts of my life that I could claim not to have ignored, even slightly, and came up nill.  I mentioned a few days ago my mom came home from the nursing home last month.  She had renewed her cross stitch hobby and bought a swimming suit to commence water aerobics at the local indoor pool.  Five days later on the way to a softball game she went into cardiac arrest while I was driving down the interstate.  Paramedics came and on the way to the hospital they regained her pulse.  Family was called and siblings arrived.  She passed into Heaven a week a later.  My youngest daughter grasped the finality of it when she said, "Grandma won't need her (false) teeth, or her glasses, or a wheelchair to go watch softball games."  While I will miss her all of my remaining days the trip down the slide is over.  No excuses available.
